Mr Narendra Modi
Prime Minister India

We register our objection in the strongest and unequivocal terms on the despicable denigration of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad p.u.h by one of your representative.

The leader of BJP , Mr Kalyanaraman , on the 31st January 2021 at 4.00 pm at Mettupalayam, in the state of Tamilnadu in a political gathering had intentionally delivered a speech, mocking and spreading falsehood against the Prophet. The speech was captured in a video which was evidence of his provocation against Islam.

We cannot accept that this may be seen as his personal views,  as this is not the first occasion of such kind where Islam is being attacked  in India, more obvious during the reign of BJP.

We condemn this provocation that intends to create communal tension in India.

The BJP government has shown its clear agenda to promote the Hindutva ideology that rejects cohabitation with minority religion in India.

We regret that India is now taking the path of animosity with the 200 million Muslims in India. The RSS – BJP’s stance will not sustain as the government of India if it continuos its dangerous  path amid the vast majority of religous minorities whose rights are recognised by the international law and the constitution of India.

We remind you that the Muslims in India are not alone in responding to the unwarranted attacks and abuses against Islam. The Muslims worldwide will stand in solidarity with their brothers and sisters if Islam is being attacked.

We demand that you take firm action against those who take their hatred stance towards Islam in the public to fuel  communal conflicts.

We are calling all politicians and the civil societies of India to rally in defiance of the hate campaigns launched by RSS-BJP. The people of India cannot compromize with the principles of the rights and dignity of all creeds irrespective of class and race.

We call the OIC member states to take note of the situation in India and be proactive in keeping an eye on the fluid nature of the Muslim-Hindu relations in India.
