Madhya Pradesh: Congress & BSP work towards an Alliance

This political news is currently breaking the internet. According to sources, Rahul Gandhi has allegedly approved the building of an alliance between the Congress and BSP.

Congress’ General Secretary Deepak Babaria has said that the agenda of the Congress tying up with the BSP to contest in elections is a satisfactory move.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday reviewed preparations for elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh later this year, with the question of alliances said to be cropping up at the session.

The three state unit presidents – Kamal Nath of Madhya Pradesh, Sachin Pilot of Rajasthan and Bhupesh Baghel of Chhattisgarh – presented detailed reports on the organisational and political situation in their respective states.

The three claimed the BJP governments in their states were facing strong anti-incumbency and all the Congress needed to do was to tap the people’s discontent and anger.

Rahul asked the leaders not to be complacent and launch an aggressive and sustained campaign without delay. The leaders requested Rahul to start electioneering from next month.
