Junaid Jamshed feared dead in PIA crash

ISLAMABAD: Famous Pakistani Islamic-preacher and singer Junaid Jamshed along with his wife are  feared dead in the Islamabad-bound PIA PK-661 flight that crashed near Havelian on Wednesday.

Jamshed’s brother confirmed that the singer was on board the flight, along with his wife.

Mohammad Ayub, a friend of Jamshed said that he dropped off the singer at the Chitral airport at 3 PM.

Jamshed’s wife was also along with him, said Ayub, adding that Jamshed was staying at a local mosque in Chitral.

Junaid Jamshed a famous Islamic preacher, traveled extensively for preaching purposes. Jamshed was in Chitral for preaching-related work.

The passenger list also included Jamshed and his wife’s names. Speaking to Geo News, Junaid Jamshed’s fellow preacher Mehmood Alam said that Jamshed was in Chitral for a preaching trip of ten days.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan also expressed his condolence over the tragic crash in a tweet on social media platform Twitter.
