IN PICTURES: Muslim pilgrims gather at Mount Arafat for Hajj’s pinnacle

More than 2.3 million pilgrims have arrived in Makkah to perform the Hajj rituals, state news agency SPA reported.

The General Organization for Statistics revealed that 2,368,873 people had arrived in Saudi Arabia’s, air, land and sea ports up until Monday.

Dubbed the “most important day of Hajj,” pilgrims spend the day of Arafat in the vicinity of the mountain, praying and repenting.
After the storm began clearing, pilgrims started their journey to the desert planes of Arafat.
