New Delhi: The Muslim Students Organization of India (MSO), India’s largest Muslim student organization, has strongly condemned the violence in JNU and demanded immediate action against those who attacked students and teachers.
The organization said in a conversation with journalists here that this has been done under the thoughtful politics of hooliganism so as to not only tarnish the image of the university, but it can also be used to make political bread on its flame.
The national president of the organization, Shujaat Ali Qadri, told reporters that the way the goons attacked the students and teachers in JNU by entering the campus is blasphemous and the role of the police in this case also looks suspicious. Qadri said that the guilty should be arrested immediately, the injured students should be treated and they should be compensated.
In response to a question, Qadri said that in view of the elections, if the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to ruin JNU for political use, then the students of JNU and the people of India will not tolerate it.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is making political use of JNU, Delhi assembly elections are in front, the central government is on the back foot on the CAA as well as the Modi government has not done anything on the problem of unemployment, inflation and farmers, hence polarizing the JNU and want to take political advantage.
