New Delhi: A rally was organised in Delhi to show unity among all youth leaders of the country. Left and Social Justice youth leaders reached Delhi’s parliament street to raise the demand for the release of Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan. Vadgam MLA and youth leader Jignesh Mevani targeted anti-love hoodlums and said,”We’re not love-jihad guys. We believe in Pyar, Ishq, Mohabbat Zindabaad. And that’s the reason that we will celebrate 14th April and we’ll also celebrate Valentines’ Day. ”
Mevani said that BJP’s 150 seats arrogance is crushed by Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakore and Jignesh Mevani and thats why I am being targeted. It is noteworthy that BJP leaders repeatedly talked of winning 150 seats in Gujarat but BJP managed to win only 99 seats.
He also reacted over remarks of Minister of State Mos, Anantkumar Hegde and said,” We believe in the constitution and we will protect it. You can attack me as much as you want but i will stick to the Constitution.” He launched an attack on PM Narendra Modi and said that he has to chose between two books, Manusmriti and the Constitution.
Several youth leaders have attended this rally including Kanhaiya Kumar, Shehla Rashid, Akhil Gogoi and Umar Khalid. Mevani in his speech told that the real issues are being sidelined under the carpet of “Ghar Wapsi”, “Love Jihad”, and others.
