A 40 years-old peon of the school in north east Delhi’s Shahdara allegedly raped a five years old girl inside a classroom of the school. The Chief Minister of the state Arvind Kejriwal directs to probe into the case.
“Shameful. Won’t be tolerated. Police doing its job. Ordered magsterial enquiry. Will develop protocol 4 all schools 2 ensure children safety (sic),” tweeted Mr Kejriwal.
The incident taken place day after a seven-year-old boy was killed allegedly by a bus conductorinside a toilet in Gurgaon’s Ryan International School after sexual assualt.
The shameful incident is from Tagore Public School in Shahdara’s Gandhinagar area for the last three years. The man allegedly took the girl inside an empty class room in the afternoon when he was walking in the corridors after handing over lunch boxes to teachers, the police said.
“There are cameras in the school premises, the girl should see and identify. I did not rape her. When asked whether he was drunk he said I have a quarter everyday, so what?”
“Vikas lured the minor with a candy and took her inside the empty classroom where he sexually assaulted her,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad.
“The issue was reported to the police after 3 p.m., when the five years-old girl complained of pain in her abdomen. Her mother observed that bleeding in private parts,” the officer said.
“Today, it has happened with my child. Tomorrow, it could happen to another child. I want the school to be shut down,” the child’s mother told news agency ANI.
