Milad un Nabi Celebrations held at AMU Malappuram Centre

‘Prophet is mercy for all mankind, we need to spread his message far and wide’’  

Seerat Committee of Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre organized  Milad un Nabi Celebrations 2019 at Open Auditorium  of the campus. The programme began with the recitation of holy Quran by M. Umair Siddiqui. Mr.Syed Ahmad Saad, Convener, Seerat Committee AMUMC delivered Welcome address.

Dr. Faisal KP, Director AMUMC while inaugurating the programme threw light on the life and teachings of Prophet Mohammed. He said that Prophet Mohammed stood for great humanitarian values and preached the messages of peace, love and brotherhood. He added that the transformation of the Arab world into a great civilization in a short span of time was possible because of the power of his messages and the community he established on the values of justice, equality and fraternity.

Dr. Hasanyar Azhari, Principal, Hasaniya Academy for Arts and Islamic Studies, Jamia Hasaniya Isamia, Palakkad, gave the Meeldun-Nabi message explaining the dignity of Holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad. He said that without mentioning him and sending durood on him and his family even our worship and prayers can’t be completed. So such is necessity of loving him in Islam that we have to love him more than our life. True love needs following his commands so we must follow his sunnah and obey him. Obeying him means obeying Allah. He has been sent as mercy for all so his message of mercy, peace, humanity and communal harmony are universal for all. We must spread his message far and wide.

Maulana Ashraf Hudawi Bakkayil , Faculty Member at Darul Huda Islamic University West Bengal Campus explained the significance of celebrating the Meeladun-nabi. He said that it’s a natural phenomenon to be happy on hearing good news. It has been approved practice of human kind to spread the news of happiness and to celebrate it.  Month of Rabiulawwal and Milad un Nabi gives us opportunity to celebrate the life of Holy prophet Hazrat Muhammad  (peace and blessings upon him). We discuss his greatness,  his message and its relevance in contemporary world.  One of the important message as told by him is the best among you is the one who doesn’t harm others with his tongue and hands.”

Famous Arabic poem ‘Qasida Burda Shareef’ was recited by students of Jamia Hasaniya Isamia Palakkad.  Mr. M. Azeem, Naat by Hiba Nazeer, Mr. Shubham Gupta, M. Zubair recited Naat and  Ms. Benazeer , Mr. Riaz Ahmad and  Mr. Yaqoob Murtaza delivered speeches on  Milad un nabi.

Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik while Mr. Abubacker Ahmad did the anchoring. Whole campus was decorated with lights and large number of staff and students were present on the occasion. Programme ended on Dua.

Seerat Committee member and faculty members Dr. Firoz Ahmad, Mohd Yashik , Assistant Registrar Mohd Ahzam Khan, Dr. Raziurraheem, Dr. Hayat Basha, Dr. Azmat Ali, Mr. Abu Shahid, Mr. Mohd Shakeel Ahmad, Dr. Safdar Ali and  Shahnawaz Ahmad, Dr.Ahsan sadiq, Dr.Lubna Ansari were also present on the occasion.

Senior Hall Syed Khizar Zameer, Ms. Deeba Fatima, Mohd. Muzakkir, Dharam Paratap singh, Shailendra Singh, Mohd.Junaid, Nadeem Chaudhary, Abu Backer Ali, Shaihal Shareef, Imran Khan, Abdul Haseeb contributed for the success of the programme.
