LEGAL AID CLINIC AMU CENTRE MALAPPURAM ORGANIZES WEBINAR ON ‘MEDIATION’

The Legal Aid Clinic of Aligarh Muslim University,Centre Malappuram conducted the National Webinar on the eve of March 17th, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00p.m about the topic, Mediation and Its Relevance in Legal Field.’ The Program was in collaboration with Co-Operative School of Law, Thodupuzha. It was the Part of the program titled, ‘Settle 2021- Celebrating Mediation’ in association with Kerala State Mediation & Conciliation Centre, Bar Council of Kerala, MG University and the Confederation of Indian Industry.

The program was conducted on Google meet platform and was attended by a good number of audience.Dr. Faisal K.P, the Director of the Centre delivered the inaugural address and he briefed the audience regarding the relevance of the topic in today’s justice delivery system which is having many pending cases.

Ms. Nithya Nair, Coordinator of Settle 2021 introduced the resource person Dr. Ashish Kumar, Assistant Professor, Faculty of law, Delhi University and his vast experience and academic excellence.  Dr. Ashish Kumar emphasized on the need to promote mediation as a main tool of imparting justice in the modern life and also focused on the necessity of building relationships to support mediation.

Mr. Ghalib Nashter, Coordinator, Dept. Of Law felicitated the program suggesting that technicalities should be brought to minimum so that mediation will be promoted more. Thereafter, vote of thanks was done by Dr.Naseema P.K, Chairperson of Legal Aid Cell cell who emphasized on the need to make widespread awareness of mediation.

The feedback forms collected at the end of the program showed that objective of the National Webinar was achieved and the whole session was benefited to all the participants who joined.
