Lankesh murder case, State government announces Rs 10 lakh reward for information

There is motivational step taken by the government to break down the senior Journalist Gauri Lankesh murder case. The state government announced today a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone who willing to give information regarding cold-booded murder of veteran journalist-cum-activist Gauri Lankesh.

The Karnataka government had already formulated a special investigation team (SIT) to bring out the truth behind the murder and to find slayers.

According to the news reports, Karnataka Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy said, “The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the officials of the SIT and the probe is moving in the right direction. Culprits will be arrested at the earliest. We are in the process of collecting evidence. We have announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh to anyone willing to come forward with vital information.”

The SIT team is headed by Inspector General of Police BK Singh. The SIT has asked the public to share any information which they feel would help in solving the murder case.
