Gudur Narayana Reddy has said that Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders have become restless ever since Congress and TDP joined hands.
A senior Telangana Congress leader has compared Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao with Iraq’s dictator Saddam Hussain and said KCR will meet the same fate as Saddam.
“KCR and his son K Tarakrama Rao would meet the same fate as former dictator of Iraq Saddam Hussain and his son Uday,” said Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) treasurer Gudur Narayana Reddy.
“Uday used to claim that his father Saddam Hussain was invincible. Since people reject all dictatorial regimes one day, KCR’s rule would face ultimate rejection on December 7,” he added.
Telangana will go to polls on December 7 and the results will be announced on December 11.
Gudur Narayana Reddy claimed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders have turned restless ever since Congress and TDP joined hands.
“If TRS’ alliance with TDP in 2009 was justified, then what makes Telugu Desam Party (TDP) an anti-Telangana party in 2018,” asked Reddy.
The Congress leader said that the grand alliance of Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Telangana Jana Samith (TJS), and Communist Party of India(CPI) has only been formed to defeat the dictatorial regimes of KCR in the state and Prime Minister Narender Modi at the Centre.
“The four parties have different political ideologies but they are one in their efforts to end the anti-people governments of TRS and BJP,” said Reddy.
The grand alliance lead by Congress is likely to announce the list of candidates for all 119 seats on November 9.
Ahead of the announcement, Congress has formed a special counseling team in Telangana to avoid any backlash from the rebels. The party has said that the candidates who are denied a ticket along with their allies would be given prominence in nominated posts in the next government.
