Srinagar: Yashwant Sinha Led team met with executive committee members of the High Court Bar Association (HCBA).

The group led by BJP minister Yashwant Sinha lands in Kashmir again to have a dialogue and peace in the state. Sinha and his team comprises of Kapil Kak AVM (R), Bharat Bhushan, Editor Catch News and Sushobha Barve.

In a statement, Bashir Sidiq who is the general secretary HCBA said that the Bar members who are contesting in the upcoming Bar Elections for various positions met the delegation at the High Court Bar complex.

He said that the delegation comprised of Bharat Bushan, Kapil Kak and Sushoba Barve. The Bar members told the delegation that the only way to resolve Kashmir issue is by talking to all stakeholders including Pakistan or to implement the United Nations Security Council Resolutions. “Until these options are not implemented peace will not prevail,” they added.

The delegation was also told that the Government of India is creating terror in Jammu and Kashmir to subjugate the people, Kashmiri people are not allowed to hold protests peacefully because paramilitary forces have been assigned to kill and blind innocent Kashmiris and now NIA is harassing people by raiding their houses arresting them and dragging them to Delhi.

The members of the delegation told Bar members: “we are not representing the government of India but we are here because we want peace in Kashmir.” They further stated that we have met large number of people from different parts of Kashmir and we have found everyone wants an early resolution of Kashmir, we too believe it is important to settle this issue by holding dialogue with all stakeholders peacefully.

Last year the group visited the valley when the valley was on boil and insisted the BJP government in New Delhi to hold dialogue with all the stakeholders including Hurriyat to resolve this issue politically.
