Srinagar. Indian army could soon bring robots to deal with situations like militancy and stone pelting in Kashmir valley, reports said on Saturday.
According to reports, robotic weapons can be introduced by the Defence Ministry which will help forces in Counter-insurgency as well as counter-militant operations. This move can be taken to reduce the injuries of forces which they face dealing with militants and with stone-throwers.
About 544 robots have been approved by the defence ministry, reports said
From some past months, CAIR, a DRDO lab leading India’s research in artificial intelligence, has been working on this project. This will equip India’s armed forces with a host of robot that can work as a team in collaboration.
These robot are built so to keep the present situation in mind. These robots will work in different environments and conditions.
