Kulgam/Srinagar. Few days back Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said that an “aggressive atmosphere has been created” in which “Kashmiri have been handed over with guns instead of pens.”
While speaking on an event in Kulgam district Mehbooba said that in whole world students are provided with pens and books in their hands but unfortunately here in Kashmir Children are being provided with guns instead of Pens an books.
She said that a gun costs six lakh rupees while a pen costs only five rupees. She appealed those holding gun to give it up and take pens in their hands.
“In last year’s turmoil many young lives were lost due to which development was obstructed,” she added.
Mufti who was on a day’s visit to the Kulgam district inaugurated several developmental projects worth Rs 57 crore.
Meanwhile a large no of people met CM and apprised her about their problems. The CM directed immediate examination of the issues put forth.
