Chowdhury also said that now, the question will arise who were the real culprits behind the Pulwama attack last year. Davinnder Singh was also the DySP in Pulwama.
Leader of Opposition for Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury Tuesday said the reaction of “troll regiment of the RSS” would have been different towards suspended Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police Davinder Singh had he been “Davinder Khan”.
Davinder Singh was arrested along with two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, Naveed Baba and Altaf, on Saturday last week for giving shelter to the terrorists at his home in a high-security Srinagar locality.
“Had Davindar Singh by default been Davindar Khan ,the reaction of troll regiment of RSS would have been more strident and vociferous. Enemies of our country ought to be condemned irrespective of colour, creed and religion,” Chowdhury said on Twitter.
Chowdhury also said that now, the question will arise who were the real culprits behind the Pulwama attack last year. Davinnder Singh was also the DySP in Pulwama.
“The chink in the armour is exposed in the Valley much to the consternation of us, we can not afford ourselves to be penny wise and pound foolish,” he said.
Davinder Singh was posted with the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s anti-hijacking unit at Srinagar airport and was awarded the President’s medal for gallantry last year.
His involvement in the 2001 Parliament attack and other big cases are also under radar after his name surfaced in a letter written by Afzal Guru.
On Sunday, Chowdhury had made a jibe at the new Army chief, General M M Naravane, advising him to “Talk Less, Work More”. His reaction came after the Gen Naravane said Army would act to POK an Indian territory if so ordered by the Parliament.
