Family members of a woman in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district were forced to carry her on a cot to the hospital, 12 km away, after they could not get an ambulance.
Family members of a woman in Sahibganj district of Jharkhand were forced to carry her on a cot for 12 km to the hospital due to poor road connectivity and lack of ambulance services.
The incident took place in Gadai Diyara village in Sahibganj district on Sunday. The health of a woman in the area suddenly deteriorated. Her relatives called emergency helpline 108 seeking an ambulance but were told that it was not available.
Seeing the condition of the woman, the relatives had no option but to carry her on a cot to Sadar hospital, which is 12 km from their area.
It is to be noted that Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is an MLA from the Barhait Vidhan Sabha constituency, which falls under Sahibganj division.
