Developments unprecedented…Justice Loya’s death needs to be investigated properly: Rahul Gandhi


New Delhi: In an unprecedented developments, 4 senior judges of the Supreme Court addressed a press conference today. Supreme court Judges Justices J Chelameswar, Madan B Lokur, Ranjan Gogoi and Kurian Joseph have appealed to the nation to save the Supreme Court. They have addressed a press briefing and talked about several internal issues within the institution.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi said,”Congress party has given a statement on the All citizens who love the idea of justice are looking at this issue, needs to be addressed.”Rahul addressed the media and said that they’ve made a point about Judge Loya’s case. It needs to be investigated properly. It needs to be looked at from the highest levels of the Supreme Court.

Congress President said,”this type of thing has never happened before. It is unprecedented. All citizens who love the idea of justice, who believe in the Supreme Court are looking at this issue and it is important that it is addressed”. He regard these developments as unprecedented. Rahul said that points raised by the Hon judges need to be looked into carefully, even Justice Loya’s death needs to be investigated properly.

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala issued a statement about it and said,”Observations made by Hon Judges and issues raise by them in the press conference and in the letter are extremely disturbing and have far reaching consequences”. Surjewala said,”The Congress party is deeply perturbed by these developments. The country holds the judiciary in the highest esteem and millions of people knock on the doors of the courts seeking justice. The nonfinalisation
of the Memorandum of Procedure has left nearly forty percent of the sanctioned posts of the judges vacant, leading to delay in justice delivery.”
