In a curious case, a coronavirus patient admitted to Delhi’s LNJP Hospital has been reported missing for the last six days.
Sixty five-year-old Raj Narain Mahto was admitted to the LNJP hospital after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus on June 1.
Mahto’s son Neeraj Kumar had earlier admitted him to Mata Chanan Devi Hospital in Janakpuri from where he was referred to Delhi’s LNJP hospital.
However, Neeraj alleged that he has been sending food to his father for the past few days which is being returned back.
Neeraj further said that he asked hospital authorities about his father’s whereabouts, but the authorities have only given him puzzling responses.
Officials at the hospital have agreed that there is a patient by the name Raj Narain Mahto.
Sources in the Delhi’s LNJP hospital said that the coronavirus patient was shifted to ICU4. However, son Neeraj claimed that he checked all the wards of the hospital and has not been able to find his father.
“I have checked all the wards that the authorities have told me he [father] may have been shifted to. But, I have not found him. He was earlier in ward 31. Some said he was shifted to ICU 4. But, he isn’t there. He doesn’t even have a phone with him. I have even complained to the police so that authorities can check his whereabouts,” said Neeraj.
Police sources said that they are trying to trace the corona positive patient.
