Politics is a battle, where mind-games are fought from the field of elections to the court. The same happened once again, in the Supreme Court, hearing of such a case is going on. The Gujarat High Court has been asked by the Supreme Court that they should not hear further the petition of BJP leader Balwant Singh Rajput, who challenged the election of Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel.
Apart from this, a bench chaired by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra in the Supreme Court has asked the Congress leader to respond to BJP leader Balwant Singh Rajput. He has been given only two weeks to give this answer. The bench included, Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud.
When BJP leader Balwant Singh Rajput responds, Ahmed Patel will also be given two weeks to answer back.
In order to win this Rajya Sabha election, the entire central leadership of the BJP has been toiling hard, just as the Congress is working towards winning this time. Political pundits consider it a big defeat of the BJP. After this victory Congress got some breathing space in Gujarat. The Congress also performed better in the forthcoming assembly elections.
