CJI Bobde rides Harley Davidson in Nagpur, photos go viral

CJI Bobde was pictured riding high-end Harley Davidson bike. But there’s a twist. The bike does not belong to CJI Bobde.

It is not every day that we get to see the chief justice of a country riding a bike or even expressing one’s fascination for motorcycles. Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde, on the other hand, has been pretty vocal about his love for bikes.

Before his appointment as the chief justice, CJI Bobde, in an interview, expressed his love for bikes and that he owned a Bullet once.

The senior-most judge of the Supreme Court was recently pictured in Nagpur checking out a Harley Davidson.

His pictures, where he is seen sitting on ‘Limited Edition CVO 2020’ of Harley Davidson, were shared on social media.

However, the bike in question does not belong to CJI Bobde.

The Harley Davidson, Justice Bobde was pictured checking out, belongs to the son of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Nagpur.

The high-end bike is registered in the name of Rohit Sonbaji Musale, son of Sonba Musale who is a BJP leader from Nagpur.

Sonba Musale was the BJP’s nominee in the 2014 Assembly polls from Saoner.

The picture was taken in Nagpur which is the native residence of CJI Bobde. The Chief Justice has been in Nagpur for several weeks due to the lockdown.

While many social media users said CJI Bobde looked “super cool” and a “swagger”, many slammed him for not wearing a mask during the coronavirus pandemic and not following social distancing ruled.
