Bihar BJP MLA accuses party ministers of taking bribes during transfers of officials

BJP MLA Gyanendra Kumar Singh has accused 80% of party ministers of taking bribes during the transfer and posting of officials that took place on Wednesday in Bihar.

BJP MLA Gyanendra Kumar Singh has alleged that 80 per cent of the ministers from the party had taken bribes during the transfer and posting of officials that took place on Wednesday in Bihar.

Singh said JD(U) ministers could not do the same because of the fear of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, but alleged that one minister, who had recently joined the party, was involved in corruption during transfer-posting.

The Barh MLA claimed that if raids were conducted, crores of rupees would be recovered from the residences of the ministers who had taken bribes.

“I have come to know about this corruption from officials who were transferred on Wednesday. They have told me that rampant exchange of money has taken place and many BJP ministers are involved in this. Ministers from Janata Dal United quota could not do the same because of fear of Nitish Kumar. If investigations are carried out, then money will be recovered from the residences of these ministers,” said Singh.

Over 15,000 office-bearers of various government departments in Bihar were transferred on June 30.

RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav has hit out at Nitish Kumar over allegations of corruption by the BJP legislator and asserted that the CM himself was the “father of corruption” in the state.

“Gyanendra Kumar Singh is a senior legislator and there could be personal issues but he should have raised it at the right platform, maybe before CM Nitish Kumar or state BJP President,” said BJP leader Azfar Shamsi.
