This Is AMU: Students serve fruits and drinks to Police who ordered Lathicharge

ALIGARH: Its the 10th day today that students at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), are sitting in for an indefinite Protest. Nearly 40000 students offered the Jummah Prayer at the main University gate, making their intention clear, that they will not move until action is taken against the perpetrators of violence.

All the students are demand an action against the Right Wing activists and organizations who violently ambushed the campus over a photograph of Pakistani leader Muhammad Ali Jinnah in AMUSU on May 2.

However, during this time the students took a different take over what happened. AMU students served cold beverages and fruits to the same policemen who ordered lathicharge on innocent AMU students hot summer. These are C.O. Sanjeev Dixit and Inspector Civil Lines, Javed Khan, whose suspension has been demanded by the students.

The inspector had allegedly led the that Right Wing activists, who were raising slogans uptil Bab-E-Syed. Students Union President Mashkur Ahmad Usmani said that they served fruits and drinks to the Policemen only who let them know that AMU teaches love, AMU students are not rowdy and malignant. He also said that the protest will continue until their demands are met.
