It is believed that all the 11 members of the family — four women, two men, and five children — consumed poison or pesticides late on Saturday night.
At least 11 Hindu refugees of a family from Pakistan were found dead in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan on Sunday. The family, which had arrived in India from Pakistan in 2012, was living in Dechu police station area of Lodta village of Jodhpur.
The news of the death of 11 members of one family has sent shock waves in the area. Prima facie, it is believed that all the 11 members of the family — four women, two men, and five children — consumed poison or pesticides late on Saturday night.
The police reached the spot after being informed by the locals. An FSL team also reached the location and has been investigating the matter.
During the search, the police found one person from the family in an injured state. He was rushed to a government hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The family members were displaced Pakistani Hindus from the Bheel community. They worked near the tubewell in Lodta village and lived in a hutment nearby.
